Tottenham have reportedly hijacked an Everton move to sign Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal with the option to buy the Netherlands star – and while the Toffees have missed out on Danjuma, it could help them get Lucas Moura.

Danjuma, 25, has impressed at Villarreal since joining the Spanish club in the summer of 2021. He has since scored 22 goals in 51 games – laying on four assists. Last season, he scored 16 goals for the Spanish outfit – but this season, six.

Sky Sports report that Danjuma is actually travelling to London to complete a medical with Tottenham. It comes after Fabrizio Romano reports on Twitter that Spurs have hijacked a move, after already completing an Everton medical.

So, Spurs are bringing in Danjuma. It sees Spurs now have Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Deki Kulusevski and Danjuma as options out wide. It may allow Bryan Gil to go on loan. But it may also see Brazil ace Moura leave Spurs this month.

Tottenham hijack Everton Danjuma move: Could help Toffees get Moura

The Mail say that with Moura set to leave on a free in the summer, Everton have been offered the Spurs star. It is expected that Moura will remain until the end of the current campaign. But with Danjuma joining, Moura may move.

With Everton now missing out on Danjuma, they will need to look elsewhere. Moura is available and Spurs will be ready to offload the ex-PSG man. He will be allowed to go on the cheap, given Spurs are about to lose him on a free transfer.

Everton could be keen on Moura, having been offered the winger. While they have missed out on Danjuma, it does increase their chances of signing Moura if they are indeed, interested, with Moura now closer to the Spurs exit door.
