Tottenham Hotspur are making a dramatic push to sign Arnaut Danjuma ahead of Everton – and he’s now travelling to London.

Danjuma agreed to sign for Everton over the weekend and was expected to complete a loan move from Villarreal.

However, the sacking of Frank Lampard has thrown a spanner in the works and Danjuma’s move to Goodison Park could be off.

Sky Sports report that Danjuma is travelling to London to go and hold talks with Tottenham over a similar loan deal.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein adds that Danjuma is actually heading to London for a medical with Tottenham.

That’s the same being stated by Football London’s Alasdair Gold, with Danjuma seemingly on the verge of a move to North London.

Whether Tottenham can get a permanent option is unclear; Fabrizio Romano claims that Spurs are discussing that possibility and believe they can now get a deal done.

Tottenham set to land ‘explosive’ Arnaut Danjuma

Danjuma can now provide Tottenham with another attacking option in the final third, offering versatility in terms of playing up front or in from the left flank.

The Dutchman was outstanding last season with 17 goals in all competitions but has seen his progress stall this term.

Lauded by Owen Hargreaves as an ‘explosive’ winger, 25-year-old Danjuma could be a very exciting addition for Tottenham but some will wonder just how this deal can be done.

Premier League clubs can only take two players on loan at any one time, according to the official Premier League Handbook.

Tottenham already have two loanees at the club; Clement Lenglet from Barcelona and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus.

Yet those rules only seem to apply for internal Premier League deals; Fulham had six players on loan in the 2020-21 season, including four from abroad.

Tottenham shouldn’t run into any issues there, even if the handbook now reads that only four loans can be done in one season.

Tottenham look set to benefit from Everton’s misery, which just seems to grow by the day at this point.
