Bryan Gil would welcome a loan transfer to Valencia as the La Liga side chase a deal for the Tottenham Hotspur winger over the final days of the mid-season market, according to AS.
Valencia want to continue strengthening Jose Bordalas’ ranks ahead of Monday’s deadline with deals for Gil and Ilaix Moriba. The Mestalla outfit have also acquired Eray Comert, who trained with Los Murcielagos for the first time on Thursday morning.
Valencia’s top target to now add a threat on the wing is Gil, and they have upheld contact with Tottenham. The eastern Spain natives approached Spurs to begin talks in recent days and believe the operation is currently on track.

Tottenham have agreed to send Gil to Valencia on loan on the provision Bordalas’ side pay a €1.5m (£1.25m) fee. Spurs also want Los Murcielagos to cover a percentage of his salary, with discussions ongoing over the precise amount.
Antonio Conte is allowing negotiations to take place with the Mestalla outfit as he knows Valencia is Gil’s first-choice destination. The forward is confident he can earn the minutes under Bordalas that he is not in north London.
Valencia owner key to Gil leaving Tottenham in loan transfer
Valencia are now debating internally if they are prepared to pay a fee to secure Gil’s loan transfer from Tottenham. Owner Peter Lim is often loath to paying for a temporary move and is currently reluctant to sanction Gil’s arrival.

A sticking point for Lim is that Gil will return to north London at the end of the term. But he also recognises the winger – who Barcelona scout German Vaya Ballabriga feels is similar to Neymar – can be the difference for European qualification and going far in the Copa del Rey.
“[Gil] is, right now, the best player in Spain and I compare him with Neymar,” Ballabriga said, via Sport, last year. “He is so versatile, he can play at full-back, through the middle, on the left wing. He’s impressive.”
Real Sociedad were pushing to sign Gil on loan from Tottenham in the last days of the mid-season market. But AS noted Conte only wanted to let him return to Spain if Spurs signed Adama Traore from Wolves. Yet the winger now seems set to re-join Barcelona instead.
