Tottenham Hotspur may be keen on Serge Gnabry but a summer move away from Bayern Munich is allegedly ‘not realistic’ at this stage.
The Daily Star reported over the weekend that boss Antonio Conte is asking Tottenham to go and sign Gnabry for him.
That sounds a little odd; for starters, Tottenham have a settled front three with Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski.
Add in that Gnabry allegedly wants a huge £250,000-a-week contract and it’s just hard to see Tottenham going for him.
Still, Gnabry is a free agent in 2023 and Bayern may be tempted to sell before he leaves for nothing.
However, Sky Germany now claim that ‘a summer sale is not realistic’.
The reason is that Bayern are in ‘serious’ talks with Tottenham target Gnabry over a new deal and remain hopeful of an agreement.
It seems that Bayern are willing to risk losing Gnabry for free in 2023 as they attempt to thrash out a deal now.
Additionally, it’s noted that Real Madrid have shown an interest in Gnabry.
However, they have instead prioritised PSG star Kylian Mbappe. That means Gnabry won’t be a key focus whilst Mbappe is available.

This is all mixed news for Tottenham if they really do want to sign Gnabry.
On the one hand, Real seemingly not preparing a move for Gnabry may give Antonio Conte hope of a deal.
On the other hand, Bayern won’t be open to a cut-price deal this summer with lingering hope of a contract agreement.
It’s just hard to see Gnabry signing for Tottenham this summer; there’s no part of these rumours that makes you believe the German winger is heading for North London.
Conte may have ambitious targets for Tottenham, but Gnabry may be pushing it a little this summer.
