Tottenham Hotspur want Samuel Iling-Junior but face competition for the Juventus talent from Brighton and Hove Albion as well as RB Leipzig.
Antonio Conte tends to like proven quality in his signings.
Ivan Perisic has done it all, Clement Lenglet has played at the top level whilst Yves Bissouma and Richarlison came in as proven Premier League players.
Tottenham do though need to think about the future as well and top young talents will be needed.
A deal for Sheffield United youngster Will Lankshear was struck on deadline day and Fabio Paratici may have another prospect in mind.

Tottenham Hotspur want Samuel Iling-Junior
Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim that Tottenham are interested in snapping up Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior.
It would be remiss of us to not bring up that just a few days ago, we wrote an opinion piece suggesting a Tottenham move for Iling-Junior.
There are often cases of mistranslation and these opinion pieces end up being covered abroad as genuine inside information.
That doesn’t appear to be the case here because Tuttosport have other details of their own.
They claim that Tottenham face a battle with Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the race for Iling-Junior.
RB Leipzig are also interested in signing Iling-Junior with a real transfer scrap emerging.
Tottenham’s interest shouldn’t surprise us; Iling-Junior hails from England, used to be based in London with Chelsea and Fabio Paratici was at Juventus when they signed him.
The 19-year-old is predominantly a left-winger and he has risen into first-team reckoning this season.
Iling-Junior came off the bench against Benfica last month and set up two goals with some outstanding wing play.
That performance was praised as ‘extraordinary’ over in Italy.
The problem for Juventus is that The Athletic claim interest is mounting and Juventus don’t yet have a new deal sorted with Iling-Junior.
That means other clubs may now try to throw money and long deals at Iling-Junior in an attempt to lure him away from Turin.
Tottenham may well hope to pull off a coup here but they’re going up against two teams who tend to recruit very, very well in Brighton and RB Leipzig.
Conte and Paratici may need to work their magic here but Iling-Junior is a name to keep close tabs on in 2023.
