According to Football London, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on Harvey Barnes heading into the January transfer window.

Alasdair Gold has reported that Fabio Paratici is a big fan of Barnes, and it sounds as though a potential move is on the cards.

Barnes is a fantastic footballer. He has six Premier League goals to his name this season, and he has been shining in England’s top flight for quite some time now.

However, don’t just take our word for it, Barnes has earned praise from far and wide including from Tottenham legend, Gary Lineker.

As many know, Lineker is a fan of Leicester City, and that has led to him praising Barnes on numerous occasions in the past.

Perhaps the most pertinent praise Lineker has given to Barnes was after he picked up an injury last year, describing the winger as ‘brilliant’ last February.

Lineker described Barnes as a brilliant player, and he’s not wrong.

There aren’t many attackers in the Premier League who can sniff out chances in the same way Barnes can, and while his finishing can often leave a lot to be desired, his positioning and movement is up there with the best attackers in England.

Under Antonio Conte, if Barnes could refine his finishing, he could be an absolute gem for Spurs, and with Heung-Min Son out of form this term, the Englishman could end up being the South Korean’s long-term replacement in north London.

Of course, getting Barnes out of Leicester is easier said than done, but with the Foxes struggling this season, a move away from the King Power Stadium could be on the cards in the summer transfer window.
