Add in that Tottenham may still even add another defender and it looks like Tanganga just isn’t in Antonio Conte’s plans.
Japhet Tanganga could join AC Milan
A number of clubs have been linked with signing Tanganga this summer.
AC Milan have been the main suitors, focusing on Tanganga after missing out on Sven Botman to Newcastle United.
Yet reports in Italy last week suggested that Newcastle were looking to hijack Milan’s move for Tanganga.
That seems a little unlikely now and agent Roberto De Fanti is allegedly flying to Milan today to try and sort out a move for Tanganga.
Calciomercato now state that a deal could be done for Tanganga to join Milan on loan for the season.
This is where things get a little complex though as Milan would then have an option to make the move permanent.

Yet if Milan do that, Tottenham will have a buy-back option in the permanent deal, potentially allowing Tanganga to return to Spurs one day.
Tanganga has come up through the Tottenham ranks and whilst there have been encouraging signs from him at times, he needs games.
Injuries and competition for places have been the problem for Tanganga, who would surely jump at the chance to play for Milan.
Tottenham inserted a buy-back clause into Kyle Walker-Peters’ move to Southampton and it now seems that they plan to do it again with Tanganga, giving themselves the option to bring both academy graduates back to the club one day.
