Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing West Ham United January transfer target Jesse Lingard from Manchester United, according to Football.London.
Football.London are reporting this afternoon that Tottenham have made contact with Lingard’s representatives over a potential move to the North London club in the January transfer window.
The report has also mentioned West Ham as being interested in the 29-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
The Express reported earlier this month that West Ham manager David Moyes is planning to make a £10 million bid for the England international in January.
Lingard, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season.
Could Jesse Lingard join Tottenham or West Ham in January?
In our view, both Tottenham and West Ham could end up being disappointed in their reported quest to sign Lingard from Manchester United in the January transfer window.

Now, the England international himself could be looking to leave the Red Devils this month due to lack of playing time at Old Trafford.
However, Manchester United may not be willing to sell Lingard to Tottenham or West Ham.
Why?
Well, that’s because Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham all are in the race for the fourth spot in the Premier League.
