Inter Milan will sell Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Alessandro Bastoni for £54 million, according to The Times.

The Times have reported that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte is keen on signing Bastoni from Inter in the summer transfer window.

Former Italian champions Inter will sell the 23-year-old left-footed Italy international central defender because they need to raise money.

The Serie A outfit reportedly want £54 million for Bastoni.

Conte and Bastoni worked at Inter, and they won the Serie A title together in 2020-21.

The Times have reported that Bastoni ‘has credited Conte with his development and progress into the Italy side’.

Should Tottenham Hotspur pay £54m for Alessandro Bastoni?

In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte is absolutely certain that Alessandro Bastoni will be a success in the Premier League, then club chairman Daniel Levy should make a deal happen.

Conte knows Serie A and the Premier League inside out, and he will be fully aware whether Bastoni would be able to succeed in England.

If the former Chelsea manager is certain that the 23-year-old left-footed centre-back would make his Spurs team better, then Levy should make a deal happen.

Or at least try to.
