Richarlison will be out for two weeks having taken to Twitter to confirm his injury in Tottenham’s win over Everton was just a ‘big scare’.
Tottenham beat Everton 2-0 on Saturday evening with Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg getting on the scoresheet.
It wasn’t all good news for Tottenham though because Richarlison went down with a calf injury against his former club.
Reports from Brazil suggested that Richarlison was in tears in the dressing room as he feared his World Cup dream was in tatters.
Richarlison left the stadium on crutches and Tottenham fans will have feared a lengthy absence for the summer signing.

Richarlison will be out for two weeks
There is some positive news today though with Richarlison announcing an update on his injury status.
The Brazilian forward has taken to Twitter to confirm that he will be back in just two weeks, giving him some time to get ready for the World Cup.
Richarlison described the injury as ‘just a big scare’ whilst thanking fans for their messages since Saturday evening.
This is great news for Tottenham as Richarlison may be in contention to take on Marseille in the Champions League on November 1st.
If not, games against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest or Leeds United before the World Cup could give Richarlison his comeback.
The emotional side of this is key too.
Everybody around Tottenham was gutted for Richarlison on Saturday because it felt like his World Cup dream was in real danger.
Brazil are heading into the World Cup as one of the favourites and are likely start with Richarlison as their centre forward.
Tite can call upon Gabriel Jesus, Roberto Firmino or Pedro if he wants to, but he has taken a real liking to Richarlison and has made him Brazil’s first-choice striker.
It would have been devastating for Richarlison to come so close to the World Cup stage and then be forced to sit at home with an injury.
People around Spurs can now breathe a sigh of relief and Richarlison will be looking to recover quickly and get himself back fit and firing before heading off to Qatar.
