Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sell Joe Rodon, who is on loan at Leeds United at the moment.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has claimed how much transfer fee Tottenham want for the defender.

So, what is being reported about Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and Joe Rodon? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sell Joe Rodon in the summer of 2024.

Rodon is on loan at Leeds United at the moment. The Whites are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

TEAMtalk has claimed that Tottenham would be open to offloading Rodon for good at the end of the season and would want £20 million in transfer fees for him.

Spurs paid Swansea City an initial £11 million in transfer fees for the defender when they signed him in October 2020 (Sky Sports). This means that Tottenham are looking to make a profit of £9 million on the centre-back.

No future at Tottenham Hotspur for Joe Rodon

In my opinion, there is no future for Joe Rodon at Tottenham Hotspur.

Rodon has failed to make a massive impact at Tottenham, and I do not think that he is going to get back into the team at the North London club.

If Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou did not think that Rodon would be able to get into the team and decided to send him out on loan, then I do not see how he is going to change the former Celtic manager’s mind.

I believe that it would be best if Leeds tried to do a deal with Tottenham for Rodon.

The 26-year-old Wales international central defender is flourishing under Leeds head coach Daniel Farke and is producing solid displays very consistently.

I think that if Leeds won promotion back to the Premier League, then the West Yorkshire club should try to sign Rodon on a permanent deal.
