Tottenham Hotspur loanee Jack Roles was loaned out by Mauricio Pochettino, despite impressing over pre-season.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jack Roles has suffered embarrassment on just his second start for Cambridge United.
Spurs loaned out Roles to Cambridge for the season and the young midfielder did brilliantly on his debut.
Roles helped Cambridge to a 3-2 win over Scunthorpe United, with U’s fans raving about the Tottenham midfielder, as HITC covered.
But Roles was part of a Cambridge side who struggled badly last night in the Carabao Cup.
Colin Calderwood’s men were battered 6-0 by Championship Swansea City in the cup, and they were 5-0 down at half-time.
Cambridge were just one goal away from equalling their record ever defeat, and Roles and his new teammates would have been gutted about the final result.

Although Swansea are two divisions above Cambridge, Calderwood would surely have been hoping that his side competed better at the Liberty Stadium.
And Roles will be wanting to show more of his ability when he returns to action in League Two at the weekend.
