Tottenham Hotspur reportedly plan to send Ashley Phillips out on loan.
According to 90min, Tottenham Hotspur are “expected” to send Ashley Phillips out on loan in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham have announced on their official website that they have signed defender Phillips from Blackburn Rovers.
The teenager has signed a contract with Tottenham until 2028.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported on Twitter that Premier League club Tottenham have paid Championship outfit Blackburn £2 million in transfer fees to secure the services of the 18-year-old centre-back.
Tottenham Hotspur should keep Ashley Phillips in first-team squad
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should keep Ashley Phillips in the first-team squad at least for the first half of the season.
We believe that Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou needs to see Phillips first and then make a decision.
Yes, it is going to be hard for the teenager initially.

After all, he was playing for Blackburn in the Championship last season and now he is at Tottenham, one of the biggest clubs in England who regularly aim to finish in the top four of the Premier League table.
There is no harm in Phillips working with Postecoglou in the first half of the season.
There will be Cup matches for the teenager to play in as well.
And he is only 18.
There is no real urgency for Phillips to play week in and week out in the first team.
Sending Phillips out on loan would deny him the chance to work with Postecoglou and understand how the former Celtic manager plays his football.
After all, if the teenager is to have a long-term future at Spurs, then he needs to be able to do well under Postecoglou.
Phillips made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Championship for Blackburn last season.
The defender made two starts and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup for Rovers last season.
