Tottenham Hotspur want Pedro Porro but major Spanish clubs are now joining the race for the former Manchester City talent.
Spurs have committed to Antonio Conte, which means building a squad that can play with natural wing backs.
Emerson Royal just doesn’t fit that bill and looks unable to really make a consistent impact in the final third despite trying so hard.
Summer signing Djed Spence hasn’t yet proven himself to Conte and that means Tottenham could go for another right wing back.

Tottenham Hotspur want Pedro Porro
Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries has been linked but a cheaper option could be Sporting Clube de Portugal ace Pedro Porro.
A Bola claim that Tottenham are interested in bringing Porro to North London.
Porro has seemingly impressed Spurs having featured against them twice in this season’s Champions League group stage.
However, Spain’s two biggest clubs – Real Madrid and Barcelona – are also keen on Porro, as are Fabio Paratici’s former club Juventus.
It’s stated that Sporting want €30million (£26million) for Porro or no deal will be done.
That seems a reasonable price for Porro – hailed as ‘different class’ by Jermaine Jenas after shining against Spurs – especially when Dumfries could cost much more.
Record note that Porro will stay with Sporting until the end of the season but there will be a meeting in January to negotiate Porro’s eventual exit.
Maybe Tottenham could sign Porro in January and loan him back to Sporting until the summer, winning the race whilst allowing the Portuguese side to keep their star wing back a little longer.
Porro, 23, joined Manchester City from Girona in 2019 but never made an appearance for the club.
Porro joined Real Valladolid on loan before spending two seasons on loan at Sporting, turning his move permanent over the summer.
The Spain international has bagged nine goals and 16 assists in 89 games for Sporting and that attacking output may be exactly why Tottenham fancy signing him for Conte’s system.
