Tottenham Hotspur want Pedro Porro but Manchester City’s buy-back clause on the Sporting star could cause problems in their pursuit.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has been speaking to Caught Offside about Porro’s transfer situation.
Romano claims that Fabio Paratici knows Porro ‘very well’ and Tottenham scouts have watched him in action many times.
No talks have taken place yet but Romano highlights how Manchester City can ‘control the situation’ surrounding Porro.
That’s because City actually have a €20million buy-back clause on Porro which could be activated if Tottenham make their move.
Tottenham may find this pursuit a little tricky but they absolutely need to revamp their right wing back options in 2023.

City can cause problems for Tottenham in Porro chase
Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty could move on next year and the idea may be for Porro to come in to compete with Djed Spence moving forward.
Tottenham don’t yet have the ideal right wing back for Antonio Conte’s style and Porro could be the man for Spurs.
It all comes back to City though.
We can’t exactly see City paying up to make Porro a first-choice player.
Kyle Walker isn’t getting any younger so City may well be in the market for another right back in the near future.
Yet Porro has indicated that, whilst he was on the City books, he and Pep Guardiola never even spoke.
That doesn’t exactly lend itself to Porro going to the Etihad Stadium and becoming a key first-team player.
The problem is that City could simply re-sign Porro and sell him on to another club for profit, possibly taking Tottenham out of the race.
Hailed as ‘different class’ by Jermaine Jenas, Porro is a quality right back or wing back but Tottenham will face a major battle to bring him to North London.
