Georginio Wijnaldum snubbed Tottenham Hotspur for Liverpool back in 2016, but the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is now open to a move to Spurs, according to 90min.

90min are reporting that Wijnaldum is ready to leave PSG and join Antonio Conte’s Tottenham on loan in the January transfer window until the end of the season.

PSG reportedly want to sign Tanguy Ndombele and are willing to send one of their own players to Tottenham.

The report has claimed that Julian Draxler is open to a loan switch to Spurs, and so is Wijnaldum.

The report has claimed that the former Liverpool midfielder is open to a return to the Premier League, and that ‘his representatives have informed Tottenham of his willingness to make the move back to England’.

Interestingly, Wijnaldum snubbed the chance to move to Tottenham when he had the chance to back in 2016.

The Netherlands international midfielder told The Mirror in September 2018 that he held talks with then Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino – now his manager at PSG – but he decided to move to Liverpool from Newcastle United instead.

Georginio Wijnaldum would make Tottenham better

In our view, Wijnaldum would be a brilliant signing for Tottenham on a loan deal.

The 31-year-old is a very dynamic midfielder who can play in a box-to-box role and was a huge success at Liverpool.

The midfielder won the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool.

In our opinion, Wijnaldum would make Tottenham a better team in the middle of the park and would aid their push for a Premier League top-four finish.
