Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier has praised Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on the True Geordie podcast.
Trippier, who joined Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, played with Kane at Tottenham.
The right-back and the striker are England international teammates as well.
Kane told Gary Neville last season that he wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer of 2021.
Manchester City wanted to sign the 28-year-old striker in the summer of 2021, but it did not happen.
Newcastle right-back Trippier has strongly defended Kane.

Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier on Harry Kane
Trippier said: “H, firstly I would say, is the most professional player I have played with.
“It didn’t obviously happen in the summer, but he is one of those who are not going to throw the toys out of the pram.”
The right-back added: “People need to look at how he brings Sonny when drops deep and he is playing diagonal passes. He is such as good player.”
Big player
In our view, Kane is a world-class player and is a big figure at Tottenham.
The striker struggled in the opening months of the season, but he is back in form now.
As Trippier notes, Kane does drop deep and creates chances for his Tottenham teammates.
Yes, the 28-year-old is not scoring a lot of goals this season, but we cannot undermine his importance to the team.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
In our opinion, for Spurs to be successful in that quest, Kane will have to be on top form.
