Gary Neville has praised Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on Sky Sports, and has said that when Antonio Conte was appointed the Tottenham Hotspur head coach, no one thought that the Gunners would finish in the Premier League top four.

However, the former Manchester United star does not think that Arsenal will finish in the top four now.

The Sky Sports pundit has backed Manchester United to get the fourth and final Champions League spot in the Premier League table this season.

Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:42pm, March 6, 2022): “I still think United could do it. I don’t trust Arsenal fully.

“I think it would be brilliant from Mikel Arteta and Arsenal if they did do it, but I do think that they have got some big games to play.”

The pundit added on his podcast: “When Conte came into Tottenham, no one was thinking Arteta fourth.

“When Manchester United spent the money they spent at the start of the season, no one was thinking Arsenal and Arteta fourth.”

Arsenal can beat Tottenham and Manchester United to fourth

In our view, Arsenal could finish fourth in the Premier League table this season ahead of Tottenham and Manchester United.

In fact, there is a chance that the Gunners could end up third ahead of Chelsea.

Just look at the Premier League table as it stands.

Arsenal are fourth with 48 points from 25 matches, just five points behind third-placed Chelsea, who have played 26 games.

United are fifth with 47 points, but the Red Devils have played 28 matches.

Now, of course, the Gunners have to maintain their current form, and they also have a very young squad.

However, we think that Arsenal have as good a chance as any other team to clinch a Champions League spot.
