The Mirror have reported that Tottenham Hotspur could still sign Alvaro Morata on January transfer deadline day.

The report has claimed that Tottenham are on the verge of signing winger Dejan Kulusevski and midfielder Roberto Bentancur from Juventus before the January transfer window closes today.

The Mirror have added that ‘Spurs could yet sign striker Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid with the Spanish champions unwilling to allow the 29-year-old to join rivals Barcelona’.

We have covered a report from AS saying that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte wants to sign Morata, and The Times have claimed that the former Real Madrid striker has been offered to Spurs on loan until the end of the season.

Could Alvaro Morata to Tottenham Hotspur happen?

In our view, if Tottenham really push for a move for Morata today, then a deal could happen before the January transfer window closes on Monday night.

Juventus have signed Dusan Vlahovic already this month, which means that Morata could struggle for playing time.

The striker, on loan at Juve from Atletico Madrid, has made 16 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season.

Morata has scored five goals and provided three assists in those games.

Tottenham boss Conte worked with Morata at Chelsea, and signing him on a straight loan until the end of the season may not be a bad idea.

It would give Conte another option in attack, as Tottenham aim to finish in the Premier League top four this season.
