Gabriel Agbonlahor has said on talkSPORT (8:09am, March 15, 2022) that Harry Kane should leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United or Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

The former Aston Villa striker believes that it is now time for Kane to find a new club where he could win trophies, which he cannot do at Tottenham at the moment.

90min have reported that Manchester United are interested in signing the 28-year-old from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Kane himself is claimed to be pushing for an exit from Spurs.

Earlier this month, The Sun reported that defending Premier League champions Manchester City are keen on the England international, having tried to sign him in the summer of 2021.

Agbonlahor said about Kane: “You have got to go. I think the joke’s over now. He has given them so much, Harry Kane, this season as well, he stayed. Nowhere near winning a trophy, nowhere near getting the top four.”

The pundit added: “If I was him,  I would 100% go to Manchester City, if they still want him, though. If Manchester United can get the proper manager, then go to Manchester United.”

Could Harry Kane leave Tottenham Hotspur?

In our view, Tottenham fans should not worry about losing Kane in the summer transfer window.

We saw last summer how Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy did not sell the 28-year-old striker despite Manchester City’s interest.

Now, of course, every player has a price, but Levy is not one who will do business if he does not think that he will end up as the winner.

In our opinion, Tottenham could well retain the services of Kane beyond the end of the season.
