Manchester City want to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

The report has claimed that defending Premier League champions City want to sign a top goalscorer.

Tottenham and England international striker Kane is at the top of Manchester City’s wishlist along with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will reportedly brace himself for another bid from City.

The Citizens did not meet Tottenham’s £160 million valuation of Kane in the summer transfer window.

Could Harry Kane leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester City?

In our view, it is unlikely that Kane will move to Manchester City in the summer transfer window, especially if Levy refuses to budge from his valuation of the striker.

Kane, described as “fantastic” by Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte in Football.London in January 2022 – is 28 now, and it is unlikely that City or any other club will pay £160 million for him now.

After all, City reportedly refused to pay more than £125 million for the striker in the summer of 2021.

Haaland is a much younger striker than Kane, and we think that City are much more likely to make a move for him than for the Englishman.
