Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with Leandro Paredes – and Paris Saint-Germain seem ready to let him go this summer.

The Times reported in January that Tottenham were interested in Paredes as part of a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele.

No deal materialised as Paredes stayed with Mauricio Pochettino amid claims he wasn’t interest in Tottenham – and he was not the only one linked with an Ndombele swap.

90Min reported that playmaker Julian Draxler was open to joining Tottenham on loan in exchange for Ndombele, but again, no deal happened.

Now though, it looks like PSG are ready to axe both Paredes and Draxler.

L’Equipe report, as quoted by Sport Witness, that both Paredes and Draxler will be available should anybody want them this summer, with PSG ready to sell them ‘immediately’.

The Draxler stance isn’t exactly a surprise. The 28-year-old has started just five league games this season and clearly isn’t a part of the plans.

Draxler’s last five appearances for PSG total just 24 minutes and he simply needs to get out of PSG and play first-team football elsewhere.

As for Paredes, he has started 10 league games this season but started both legs of the Champions League knockout clash with Real Madrid.

Paredes, 27, is a combative midfielder who could mesh well with Rodrigo Bentancur in the Tottenham midfield.

Calciomercato claim that Arsenal and Juventus are rivalling Tottenham in the race to sign Paredes, with many clubs seemingly sensing an opportunity.

The key here, at least in terms of Arsenal or Tottenham, could be Champions League football.

The two clubs are in a direct fight for a top four finish and whoever wins will have greater power in the summer transfer market.

Tottenham’s Fabio Paratici was allegedly a fan of Paredes after he joined Roma, so interest from Spurs shouldn’t be a shock.

With PSG now willing to sell, don’t be surprised to see Tottenham make their move this summer.
