Tottenham Hotspur’s top priority is to sign a new centre back or two this summer – and Wolfsburg ace Maxence Lacroix is now emerging as a new target.
Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jannik Vestergaard and Joachim Andersen are all on Fabio Paratici’s radar, but he now appears to have a new name on the radar.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Tottenham want to sign Lacroix, seemingly challenging RB Leipzig for the Wolfsburg star’s signature.
Lacroix, 21, only joined Wolfsburg from French second division side Sochaux last summer but quickly became one of the top defenders in the Bundesliga.
A tall presence at 6ft 3in tall, Lacroix combines that size with outstanding pace; he was tracked as the fourth-fasted player in the Bundesliga last season.
With the quality to make an instant impression whilst also having huge potential, Lacroix ticks the boxes for Tottenham – and their fans are buzzing.

Tottenham fans are begging Paratici to get a deal done, suggesting that signing Lacroix would be ‘huge’ and ‘fantastic’ for new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Others think Lacroix would be a ‘top, top signing’ whilst urging Tottenham to sign him quickly before anybody else joins the race.
