Danny Rose says he was unhappy with reaction to his contract in 2014 – but many backed him too.
Rose said he felt he was being written off, claiming he had just one below par season, and he was deserving of more respect.
HITC Sport covered the reaction from fans to Rose’s five-year deal back in 2014.

There were certainly some disgruntled voices, but many supporters expressed their faith in Rose, noting that he was hardly the only under performer in 2013/14.
Those supporters asked for Rose to be given a chance – one he has gone on to seize under new boss Mauricio Pochettino over the past three seasons.

Rose certainly has gone on to prove the doubters wrong – so much so that he earned another contract last season, and still feels he is underpaid and deserves more.
He has gone on to establish himself as England’s number one left-back, when in 2014 he was not even in competition to make Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad.
Now opinion on the defender is equally as divided – but not for footballing reasons.
