Paris Saint-Germain are interested in raiding Tottenham Hotspur for Fabio Paratici – but the Italian is now expecting to stay in North London.
PSG sporting director Leonardo is predictably in danger of losing his job after the Ligue 1 giants crashed out of the Champions League to Real Madrid.
The magnitude of their collapse means Mauricio Pochettino is in real danger too, but the current rumours surround Leonardo.
Foot Mercato reported in February that PSG were looking to bring Paratici to the French capital as Leonardo’s successor having held a long-standing interest in the former Juventus man.
Those rumours have only accelerated since PSG’s European exit, but it doesn’t sound like Paratici is desperate to jump even with a potential opening on the cards.
The Athletic now claim that Paratici is fully committed to Tottenham and intends to stay in North London rather than move to Paris any time soon.
Paratici is allegedly ‘enthusiastic’ about the future at Tottenham and is enjoying working with both Daniel Levy and Antonio Conte.
Paratici staying at Tottenham is good news for Spurs, but we can’t pretend he isn’t under pressure in his current role after a mixed first year at the club.
The summer window didn’t exactly go to plan; Emerson Royal has struggled, Bryan Gil has already left on loan for Valencia and Pierluigi Gollini has barely played.

The positives have been Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, with those signings buying Paratici some time with Tottenham fans.
Make no mistake though, Paratici needs another couple of strong windows or else he will find himself in a similar situation to Leanardo – clinging onto his job.
Antonio Conte needs to be backed with quality players, and Tottenham need more Romeros, Bentancurs and Kulusevskis to make real progress.
Over to you, Fabio.
