Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, but Aston Villa are going to make an offer soon, according to Gianluca Di Marzio .
Italian journalist Di Marzio has reported on his website that Tottenham have made an offer of €30 million (£24.95 million) for Bentancur.
Juventus are reportedly happy with the offer from Tottenham.
However, according to the report, Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Villa are planning to make a new bid for the 24-year-old midfielder.
Sky Sports reported on Friday that Villa made a bid of £16.5 million plus more than £4 million in bonuses for Bentancur.
Juventus rejected it, as the Italian giants reportedly want £21 million upfront for Bentancur.

Tottenham Hotspur over Aston Villa for Rodrigo Bentancur
In our view, Tottenham are now in pole position for Bentancur and are ahead of Villa in the race for the Uruguay international midfielder.
Described as “outstanding” by his Uruguayan compatriot Diego Godin in CM in June 2018, Bentancur would make Tottenham better in the middle of the park.
The midfielder has made 13 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A for Juventus so far this season, providing two assists in the process.
Now, Villa are a big club, but Tottenham are in the race for the Premier League top four, and we think that the North London club would be more appealing to Bentancur than the Villans.
