Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are planning to make a bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Tottenham are now looking to offer around £18 million for the former Aston Villa winger.

Barcelona are also reportedly interested in the 25-year-old winger, but the La Liga giants do not have the money to make the deal happen in January.

£18m for Adama Traore would be bargain for Tottenham

In our view, if Tottenham are able to sign Traore for £18 million in the January transfer window, then it would be a bargain deal for Conte’s side.

Yes, we know that the Spain international does not have enough end product.

Traore has scored only seven goals in 158 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The former Barcelona prospect has created just 22 big chances in those games.

However, Traore is very quick, and Conte reportedly wants him to play as a right wing-back instead of a traditional winger.

Liverpool, Leeds United and West Ham United all are interested in Traore, according to 90min.

So it shows just how highly Traore is rated by Premier League clubs for what he can do.

Liverpool manager Klopp rates the winger highly as well, describing him as “unplayable” in The Birmingham Mail in January 2020.
