Tottenham Hotspur want Filip Kostic but Eintracht Frankfurt now seem hopeful and confident of him staying for a little while yet.
Tottenham are likely to target a host of signings this summer, especially if they secure Champions League qualification.
Left wing back is one area that may need some reinforcement in order to play Antonio Conte’s style to its potential.
Conte doesn’t seem totally sold on Sergio Reguilon though Ryan Sessegnon has been enjoying a decent run under the Italian.
Adding another option there seems sensible and Kostic has been rumoured as a potential Tottenham target.
Tottenham Hotspur want Filip Kostic
Reports from The Independent’s Miguel Delaney claim that Tottenham have placed Kostic on their summer wish list.
The Serbian star is 29 so would fit the mould of proven quality in the eyes of Conte.
Kostic has been a creative force this season, racking up 15 assists alongside seven goals.
Frankfurt beat Rangers in the Europa League final on Wednesday night and Kostic recorded another assist with a superb cross for Rafael Borre to score.
When it came to the penalty shootout, Kostic buried his spot kick to help Frankfurt on their way to victory.

This is the kind of quality Tottenham are seeking at wing back under Conte but their hopes of signing Kostic could now be dented.
Frankfurt boss Oliver Glaser has spoken to Kicker about Kostic’s future in light of the Europa League success.
Glasner noted that Kostic still has one year left on his contract so there is no great rush for him to leave.
Glasner then added that the pair spoke on the pitch at full time, and whilst the Frankfurt boss won’t share their conversation, he doesn’t think Kostic is done at Frankfurt yet.
“He still has a year’s contract. We spoke on the field, but I won’t tell you what,” said Glasner. “I think that was not his last game,” he added.
That could change when offers arrive this summer as Tottenham could offer Kostic a big pay day before he enters his 30’s.
