Tottenham Hotspur may not have a manager in place right now, but they’re allegedly targeting a move for Houssem Aouar regardless.
Fabio Paratici is on board as Tottenham’s new director of football, and he will be looking for new signings even with no manager in place.
Defensive additions will be the priority, but it’s now suggested that Paratici wants a playmaker too – and he wants Aouar to come on board.
Tottenham’s pursuit of Aouar
The Sunday Mirror reported that Tottenham want to sign Lyon star Aouar having learned that he could be available this summer.
Arsenal have wanted Aouar for a long time, even making an unsuccessful bid last summer, but Paratici is now planning to swoop in with a move.
Aouar has previously excelled alongside Tanguy Ndombele at Lyon, and the idea of them joining forces again at Tottenham is very exciting.

Tottenham fans have their say
Tottenham supporters have now been taking to Twitter to react, believing that Aouar could form an ‘unstoppable’ midfield with Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Others just want to imagine Tottenham signing Aouar after being linked with Arsenal for so long, admitting they would laugh ‘so hard’.
Some are begging Tottenham to get a deal done, believing that Aouar may even be a better option than RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer.
