Tottenham Hotspur will be in the market for a new striker whether Harry Kane stays or goes – and Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic is thought to be a target.
New managing director of football Fabio Paratici has plenty of work to do this summer, and he may well use his contacts in Italy.
Tuttosport claim that Paratici now wants to challenge Juventus for the signature of Fiorentina striker Vlahovic, though he wouldn’t come cheap.
How did Vlahovic fare last season?
The 21-year-old was in stunning form for Fiorentina last season, smashing 21 goals in 37 games for the Serie A club.
Vlahovic has been compared to Erling Haaland by ex-Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, backing the Serbian star to be one of Europe’s top strikers for years to come.
Vlahovic even calls himself ‘the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ according to ex-Partizan Belgrade teammate Valeri Bojinov,

Tottenham fans have their say on Vlahovic
Tottenham fans have been taking to Twitter to react, and are ‘begging’ Paratici to get a deal done.
Some believe that Vlahovic is an ‘unreal talent’, and are on their knees pleading for Spurs to get him in.
Others believe Vlahovic is the best striker on Paratici’s potential striker signing list, and would be the top candidate if – God forbid – Kane was to leave.
