Tottenham sit eight points ahead of Chelsea in the Premier League.

Former Chelsea midfielder Dennis Wise told Sky Sports’ The Debate on Tuesday evening that he does not believe Tottenham Hotspur are the best team in London at the moment – and Spurs fans reacted angrily on Twitter.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side currently sit eight points clear of Antonio Conte’s Premier League champions in fourth place, with Chelsea unlikely to recuperate such a difference and finish in the top four.
However, Chelsea boast plenty of trophies in the cabinet including last season’s league title while Spurs’ last trophy came in the form of the League Cup in 2007-08.

Both sides have been knocked out of the Champions League this season but they remain in the hunt for the FA Cup, with Spurs set to face Manchester United while Chelsea go up against Southampton.
Wise, who turned out for Chelsea for more than a decade after first joining the club in 1990, claimed Spurs are not of the same stature as the Blues due to their lack of trophies – which sparked Tottenham’s Twitter fanbase into a frenzy.
“In league position yes, but if you look at trophies over the last 10 years compared to Arsenal and Chelsea, no they are not,” Wise claimed.
One fan asked Wise if he needed “glasses”, while another described his comments as “salty”.
