Tottenham have been linked with Kim Min-jae once again and Turkish claims suggest that he may be closing in on a move to England this summer.

Tottenham have already landed one new signing this summer by bringing Ivan Perisic to North London on a free transfer.

Antonio Conte will be keen on more new faces though and another centre back is likely to be on the radar.

A left-sided option would be ideal but Tottenham may need somebody else if Joe Rodon – as expected – moves on this summer.

Kim Min-jae is a name that has been touted for some time now and the claims in Turkey suggest a deal could be on the cards.

Tottenham have been linked with Kim Min-jae

Tottenham chased Kim back in the summer of 2020 when he was shining with Beijing Guoan in China.

An international teammate of Son Heung-min, a move to Tottenham was rumoured for some time before Rodon was signed instead.

Kim moved on to Fenerbahce last summer and has impressed in Turkish football.

Kim does though have a £19.5million release clause in his contract and reports from Turkey in May claimed that Everton and Tottenham had both made offers.

Sabah claim that Kim will now decide on the offers from Everton and Tottenham in the coming days with both ramping up their interest.

The author of that piece, Volkan Demir, has even taken to YouTube to claim that Kim is travelling to England very soon to settle on a move, as reported by Football London.

There have been no such claims in the English media but Turkish press seem confident that Kim will have offers to join a Premier League club soon.

A powerful centre back who may be able to play in the centre of Antonio Conte’s back three or even on the right side, Kim may add depth at Tottenham.

Yet he doesn’t really solve the issue Tottenham have with homegrown players at the moment, with Fabio Paratici needing to add English-trained players.

Tottenham may like Kim, but we would make a move to Everton a little more likely this summer.
