According to Graeme Bailey, Harry Kane is trying his best to get Raheem Sterling to join Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane and Sterling, of course, know each other well from England duty, and apparently Kane wants to see the Manchester City winger come to north London.

To be honest, it’s not hard to understand why.

Indeed, Kane and Sterling have struck up one hell of a partnership on international duty, and if they can unite at Spurs, their partnership could even rival the ongoing footballing bromance that Kane currently has with Heung-Min Son.

Kane has made it no secret just how much he loves to play with Sterling in the past.

“It’s a joy to play with (Sterling and Rashford),” Kane once told TalkSPORT.

“Sometimes I can drop deep and let them run in behind. Sometimes I’ll just stay high and they can use their pace, use their skills, one vs one against the defence and I’ll be there for the crosses and the square balls.

“Raz put one on a plate for me today and then obviously Rash got a great penalty.

“It’s a pleasure to play with them and all the boys here. We’re all working for the same goal and doing well so far.”

Kane clearly loves playing with Sterling, and the numbers back show why.

Sterling is actually the fifth-most prolific partner that Kane has had in his career, which is incredible considering they’ve never actually played together at club level.

Kane and Sterling have linked up for no fewer than 15 goals in 57 matches. Averaging one joint goal participation every 3.8 games.

In context, Kane and Son have 53 joint goal participations in 252 matches together, averaging one every 4.77 games.

Of course, you have to factor in that England often play against weaker opposition than Spurs, but, at the same time, Kane and Sterling don’t train together every week, and yet, they still have this almost telepathic understanding.

If Sterling comes to Spurs, he could usurp Son as Kane’s right-hand-man.
