Tottenham could make a move to sign Lazio superstar Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is also wanted by Manchester United and is set to leave Lazio this summer.

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Spurs might enter the picture to sign the 27-year-old midfielder depending on how the pursuits of United and Juventus go for Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serbian international is set to leave the Serie A side this summer, with Lazio desperate to raise funds and Maurizio Sarri eager to bring in his own players, with Milinkovic-Savic set to be the club’s biggest sale of the window.

As per the report, whilst United and Juventus remain the favourites to sign Milinkovic-Savic, Tottenham’s interest can’t be ruled out, with Antonio Conte a huge fan of the world-class midfielder.

With a reported price tag of £70m according to CalcioMercato, Milinkovic-Savic will not come cheap this summer, yet given his record in Serie A and the quality of clubs chasing his signature, it is perhaps not too surprising that Lazio are demanding a high fee for the Serb.

Indeed, Tottenham are set for a big summer under Conte, and a club-record move for Milinkovic-Savic would be an incredible sign of ambition from the Italian coach, yet United and Juventus pose huge threats for this dream signing.

Whilst Tottenham now have the Conte card to play when it comes to transfers, United and Juventus will likely view the chase for Milinkovic-Savic as one that will see Spurs drop out.

After all, the north London side simply don’t have the funds to sign the midfielder without offloading a key player, and with United and Juventus linked to Milinkovic-Savic since time began, Tottenham could stand no chance in signing the midfielder.
