Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a move for Everton target Christian Eriksen, but Brentford are the frontrunners for the playmaker, according to iNews.

iNews are reporting this morning that Tottenham have made an enquiry with Eriksen’s representatives over bringing the Denmark international attacking midfielder back to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Everton are interested in the 30-year-old as well, according to the report, which has added that it is Brentford who are leading the race for the former Inter Milan star.

Eriksen spent the second half of the past season at Brentford and is out of contract at the London club this summer.

The Dane is available on a free transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur should make Christian Eriksen an offer

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should make an offer to Christian Eriksen now.

If Spurs have already had contact with the Dane’s representatives, then they should make an offer.

Yes, Everton are a big club and Brentford gave him the chance to return to the Premier League, but Tottenham are Eriksen’s former club.

The playmaker worked with Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte at Inter, and he has publicly spoken of his desire to play in the Champions League next season.

Tottenham will be in Europe’s premier club competition next season.
