Fiorentina ace Amrabat was the subject of a shock pursuit from Tottenham in January.
Tottenham set up a loan deal for Amrabat in January which included a £12.5million purchase option.
Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso were on their way out so Tottenham chased a cheap deal for Amrabat.
Amrabat allegedly wanted to join Tottenham but a move to Spurs was cancelled.
Tottenham instead went and signed another Serie A midfielder as Rodrigo Bentancur arrived from Juventus.
Bentancur has been a vital player for Tottenham since joining and was probably the right signing over Amrabat.

Foot Mercato claim that Tottenham are back in for Amrabat alongside inter Milan.
Fabio Paratici has allegedly been tracking Amrabat for ‘several years’ and is ready to bring him to North London.
Hailed as an ‘absolute champion’ by former Fiorentina teammate German Pezzella, Amrabat may be the kind of character Conte wants.
The Moroccan isn’t a big name though and there would be questions about his suitability for the Premier League having been in and out at Fiorentina.
A loan in January could have made sense but Tottenham may need to aim higher this summer as they look to progress under Conte.
