Tottenham are interested in Mattias Svanberg
Reports of Tottenham’s interest in signing Svanberg really ramped up in December.
iNews reported that Tottenham were ready to finalise a January deal for Svanberg.
Tottenham did end up signing a Serie A midfielder but it wasn’t Svanberg. Spurs snapped up Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus instead.
Tottenham may still be in the market for more midfielders though and Svanberg continues to be linked.
Italian outlet 1000 Cuori Rossoblu report this week that Tottenham are interested in Svanberg once again.
Everton and West Ham are also keen but the new links to Tottenham will intrigue supporters.
Svanberg is one of Swedish football’s top young talents alongside Dejan Kulusevski – who is already at Tottenham.
That will surely appeal to Svanberg as the pair could team up in style at Tottenham.

Svanberg could be an absolute bargain
Corriere dello Sport now claim that Bologna want to raise €30million by selling Aaron Hickey and Svanberg.
The breakdown is €20million (£17million) for Arsenal target Hickey and then possibly just €10million (£8.5million) for Svanberg.
It’s even stated that it may be ‘difficult’ to reach that kind of fee for Svanberg as his contract expires in 2023.
The only offers Bologna have on the table for Svanberg are even lower than that with the Serie A club possibly facing a knockdown sale.
Svanberg could therefore be a bargain addition for Tottenham, adding depth in midfield whilst having potential for the future.
