The Scottish national team is one of the oldest international football teams in the world, having contested the first official international game against England in 1872. Since then, Scotland have qualified for nine World Cups and four UEFA Euros. The Scots, under manager Steve Clarke, will be hoping that the 2026 tournament is the first in which they make it out of the group stages of a competition.
