Cucho Hernández has expressed his delight on Instagram after his fellow countryman, Luis Diaz, joined Liverpool.
The Watford forward shared that he has ‘too much pride’ in Diaz joining Liverpool, which was announced on Sunday by the Reds.
When Diaz thanked Porto fans on his IG and shared that they provided him with the ‘best memories’.
Hernandez posted this message in the comments section: “Too much pride. Continuing representing in this way. See you soon.”
It seems as though Liverpool were long-term admirers of Diaz, but were seemingly waiting until the summer to push for him.
But Tottenham showing interest in his services this month forced their hands to get him signed up before the summer.
And now Diaz can be added to the already goal-heavy armoury Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal on Merseyside.
Usually, with new signings, Klopp likes to settle them in and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he does the same with Diaz here.
Whilst Klopp seemingly won’t be bringing any more faces through the club’s doors before the 11pm deadline, it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any action.
All eyes will be on outgoings and whether the likes of Divock Origi, Nat Phillips and Nico Williams stay put.
