Shaun Wright-Phillips has backed Arsenal to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford by claiming that Mikel Arteta’s side will have ‘too much’ for Erik ten Hag’s men.
These two might not be sitting top of the Premier League tree like the old days, but it is still an old-school classic and one of the heavyweight fixtures in English football.
Whilst it’s Manchester City and Liverpool being dubbed as the top two in recent years, those in north London are now seemingly seeing the light.

There is still a long way to go, but Arteta is starting to build a team worthy of challenging near the top of the table and an ever-progressing young team that has won five from five games.
But Manchester United have started to find their own spark, winning their last three, including against their bitter rivals Liverpool.
Despite that, Wright-Phillips is still backing the Gunners to do the business, as Tim Sherwood also shared his thoughts on the fixture, as he told MatchDay Extra on Premier League Productions (03/09/22 at 8:55 pm)
“I am really looking forward to this one,” said Sherwood. “It’s an acid test for Arsenal. Interesting to see what they can do at Old Trafford.”
“I think Arsenal have too much for them”, said Wright-Phillips. “Especially with the way they are playing.”

ARSENAL’S MIDFIELD V MAN UNITED’S MIDFIELD
Whoever wins the midfield battle today, then they might just end up with the three points because both teams have that lethal nature to their forward line.
From in-form Jadon Sancho to one of the Premier League’s top performers right now in Gabriel Jesus, this could be a tasty, end-to-end and high-scoring affair.
There is always drama, entertainment and controversy when Man United and Arsenal lock horns and those ingredients might just be on show at Old Trafford.
There is more on the line for Arteta and his players because of their 100% start, but what a statement they will send out if they beat Man United.
