‘Too good for Arsenal’: Some Chelsea fans laud 21-year-old Gooner’s performance yesterday

Chelsea fans praised Arsenal midfielder, Emile Smith Rowe, despite the midfielder suffering a 2-0 defeat against his London rivals on Sunday.

The 21-year-old started in the middle of the park for Arsenal, who were up against it before kick-off because of key players being missing and the return of Romelu Lukaku for the visitors.

Whilst Lukaku went on an early rampage in the final third, one ray of sunshine that impressed Chelsea supporters in the opposition ranks was Smith Rowe.

The Hale-End academy product did his utmost best to get on the ball and carry it forward, as Arsenal struggled without the ball from a tactical standpoint and continued to lose the physical battle.

Smith Rowe even impressed a certain Chelsea legend.

John Terry commented on Smith Rowe’s performance during the game and it perhaps goes to show what talent the player has at his feet.

But it wasn’t enough because Smith Rowe has now seen his Arsenal side suffering two opening defeats.

A number of players at Arsenal, including Arteta, are taking big hits at this moment in time – and it’s not pleasant.

But one shining light for the supporters is their expert ball-carrier, who even was lauded by the opposing fans.

That perhaps shows that Arteta has to continue with the Englishman and if the Spaniard finds a way out of this mess then it’s through players like Smith Rowe.
