Eric Dier has told Lucas Moura on his Instagram ‘too bad I had to train against you’ after the Tottenham Hotspur winger returned to training.
The 30-year-old had been out of action since the World Cup break and he returned recently, and scored, for Tottenham’s U21s during their 2-1 win over rivals, Arsenal.
It’s fair to say that Moura was all smiles when he returned with the senior guys, including giving Dier a big hug.

It could have been very different for the versatile forward because, with his contract set to run down in the summer, there was talk that Moura could have made an early exit during the January transfer window.
Whilst Matt Doherty suffered that fate, which left his teammates shocked, Moura stayed put, but he is expected to head for the exit door in the summer.
Nonetheless, when the Brazil star expressed his delight at returning on his IG, Dier posted the following message in the comments section ‘Great to have you back, bro. Too bad I had to train against you’. added with a laughing emoji.
MOURA A POPULAR FIGURE
After joining in 2018 for £23 million from PSG (BBC Sport), Moura has become a pretty popular character, with his teammates and the fans, in north London.
If these are his final few months in a Tottenham shirt, then it will be a sad ending for the player, but the correct one because the likes of Dejan Kulusevski have pushed ahead of him.
Of course, that hat-trick against Ajax in the Champions League semi-final is a moment that will live long in his memory, as well as his fans.
But that consistency and cutting-edge in the final third just isn’t there with the player, despite the fact that he has this ridiculous ability when running with the ball.
