Celtic should renew an interest in Championship-linked Tom James.

Celtic’s Moses Odubajo experiment hasn’t worked out.
The former Hull City right-back flew out to Austria with the Hoops for a pre-season tour last month and would have been available for free, had Brendan Rodgers wanted to sign him.
However, it would appear as if Odubajo, who joined Hull for £3.5 million in 2015 [Hull Daily Mail], failed to impress the Celtic manager and The Scottish Sun claim that Rodgers has ended his pursuit.

Nevertheless, it indicates that the Northern Irish manager was interested in signing a right-back this summer, so could the former Liverpool boss now go back for Tom James?

Back in March, The Independent reported that the Bhoys were interested in the 22-year-old Yeovil Town star who, according to HITC Sport, is now attracting interest from Swansea and Hull.
Both are big Championship clubs and courting that sort of interest ought to indicate that James is indeed the real deal and Celtic need to strike.
For now, Rodgers has a declining Mikael Lustig, an unproven Anthony Ralston and an untested Cristian Gamboa. The Bhoys definitely need a new right-back and competing for James is a no-brainer.
