Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool may be keen signing Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but Blues co-owner Todd Boehly is reportedly determined to keep the England international midfielder at Stamford Bridge.
Todd Boehly wants Liverpool target Mason Mount to stay at Chelsea
Journalist Simon Phillips has told GiveMeSport that Boehly does not want Mount to leave Chelsea and personally wants the midfielder to stay.
However, the midfielder and Chelsea are not able to come to an agreement over a new deal.
Phillips has also told GiveMeSport that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants to bring the 24-year-old to Anfield.
The Daily Mail have reported that Mount is on £80,000 per week at Chelsea now and wants to get a new deal worth £120,000 per week.
Liverpool are reportedly working hard to get a deal done for the 24-year-old.

Phillips said: “As far as I know, as far as I’m told, Chelsea want to keep hold of Mount. Boehly personally wants to keep hold of Mount. Mount wants to stay at Chelsea.
“The big problem is, the terms are so far apart at the moment. Ultimately, that means that he could end up leaving. Chelsea have made it clear that they will sell players if terms can’t be met, rather than let them leave as free agents the year after.
“We could be looking at Mount leaving Chelsea this summer unless they are prepared to meet halfway, and at the moment they’re not. That’s why the talks broke down.”
Complicated
In our view, Todd Boehly’s personal involvement does complicate matters for Liverpool in their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
Mount has come through the Chelsea youth academy and is very popular with the fans.
The midfielder is also very good.
And he is only 24.
We believe that Liverpool could find it tough to get a deal done for Mount if Boehly does become more involved.
