Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Journalist Simon Phillips has told GiveMeSport that Liverpool manager Klopp “really wants” to sign Chelsea and England international midfielder Mount.
Liverpool have reportedly made Mount aware that they are keen on bringing him to Anfield at the end of the season.
The Daily Mail have reported that Mount and Chelsea are in talks over a new contract, but negotiations are not going well at the moment.

Phillips said: “Liverpool are the most interested club in trying to sign Mount.
“Klopp really wants him and they’ve kind of put him as one of their priorities going forward this summer if he’s available.
“They’ve made Mount aware of their interest. It’s not to say he’s keen on going there, but I think he could easily go there.”

In our view, Liverpool could be able to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Now, of course, the Blues will surely not want to sell a player like Mount who is one of the best midfielders around.
However, if the star does not sign a new contract, then Chelsea could reluctantly agree to cash in on him at the end of the season.
Mount is a very good and dynamic midfielder who will make Liverpool better and stronger in the middle of the season.
