Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has held talks with Mason Mount and has told him not to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal or Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, according to a report.
Todd Boehly stance on Mason Mount amid Liverpool interest
The Athletic are reporting this morning that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all are interested in signing Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The report has added that Chelsea co-owner Boehly does not want the England international midfielder to leave at the end of the season.
The American businessman had “a direct conversation” with Mount on Friday where he told the midfielder his importance in the team.
Boehly “reiterated” his “desire” to keep Mount at Chelsea, according to the report.
The report added: “The dialogue has been interpreted inside Chelsea as a positive development, with what looked like a foregone conclusion and Mount leaving shifting to a feeling that it is not out of the question he stays.”

HITC Verdict: Summer transfer could happen
In our view, Liverpool could still be able to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Okay, Todd Boehly is now personally involved in the matter, but that does not mean that Mount – described as “very exciting” by Liverpool and England international midfielder Jordan Henderson in Metro – will make a decision solely on that.
Liverpool need dynamic and young midfielders like Mount, and the chance to play for the Reds and work with Jurgen Klopp could be very tempting for the English star.
