Aston Villa’s new signing, Diego Carlos, has posted on his Instagram story that he will ‘say his goodbyes’ to Sevilla in the coming days.
At the start of the month, Villa secured the signing of the 29-year-old from Sevilla on a four-year contract, as reported by Sky Sports.
With the season barely a week old, Villa were already adding to their defensive armoury, with Boubacar Kamara also joining from Marseille on a free-transfer.

Both Carlos and Kamara will be hoping to provide some much-needed defensive stability at Villa Park for a Steven Gerrard side craving for a return to Europe next season.
But, ahead of pre-season next month, Carlos posted the following message to those of Sevilla on his Instagram story.
“I want to inform you that I will soon go to Sevilla to say goodbye to a club where I was very happy,” Carlos posted to his followers. “To the spectacular fans that have always treated me very well.
“Sevilla will always be my home.”

WHO WILL VILLA SIGN NEXT?
With Matt Targett sealing a permanent transfer to Newcastle United, it’s obvious that Gerrard will now be looking for competition at left-back, with Lucas Digne his main man.
Some Villa fans feel that another defensive-minded midfielder is needed, with Yves Bissouma one of the names on their transfer wishlist.
But it seems as though the Brighton midfielder is swapping the Amex Stadium for Hotspur Way, after the north London club agreed on a £25 million deal for the player.
Whilst Gerrard has brought in two very important cogs to his wheel, it wouldn’t be a surprise if another three signings arrive this summer, at the very least.
