Is Ruben Neves joining Liverpool? Well it just might be on the cards yet again.
According to 90 Min on Friday, as covered by HITC Sport, Liverpool are considering an attempt to sign the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder.
The Reds desperately need someone like Neves and, based on his performance yesterday, that’s even more true now.
The Portugal international opened the scoring in Wolves’ visit of Newcastle United yesterday afternoon, smashing home from well outside the penalty area.
Goals from midfield are something that Liverpool are lacking in a massive way and he’d be a wonderful addition by Jurgen Klopp, who is on record as saying that he wants another signing in the middle of the park.
Here’s what Don Goodman said about Neves’s ‘thunderous’ effort at Molineux.
He said during Sky Sports commentary: “A thunder strike from Ruben Neves. Is anyone surprised? Absolutely not. If you follow Wolves, you see this time and again.”

Is Ruben Neves joining Liverpool?
Well, it’s absolutely plausible.
As mentioned, Liverpool don’t have a lot of goals coming from midfield. In fact they don’t have anyone in midfield at the moment, really.
Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all sidelined in what’s blossomed into a genuine injury crisis for Klopp at Anfield right now.
With the transfer window shutting on Thursday, reinforcements are absolutely vital.
However, luring Ruben Neves from Wolves will be very difficult and unless Fenway Sports Group are prepared to pay a premium – especially after Sunday’s heroics – then it seems relatively unlikely he’ll be going to Merseyside.
