The Tottenham Hotspur player could fit in at West Ham United, Liverpool or Swansea City.

Tottenham Hotspur have so many goalkeepers on their books that a player who was first-choice for Espanyol last season – Pau Lopez – cannot even make the bench right now.

At first glance the decision to bring the Spaniard in on loan was a bizarre one, unless Spurs are preparing for life without second-choice stopper Michel Vorm.

The Netherlands international has a contract that expires in 2018 and given his lack of regular action at White Hart Lane it could be time the 33-year-old moves on in pursuit of first-team football.

Assuming that is the case, here are three Premier League clubs who could benefit from the Tottenham man’s experience:

West Ham United

With Adrian’s contract coming to an end, West Ham will need another ‘keeper to compete with Darren Randolph and the Tottenham player could be the perfect addition.

Given his contract situation, Vorm is unlikely to be expensive and he will want to prove he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level; something he could do at West Ham.

Liverpool

Liverpool need at least one new ‘keeper this summer and while Joe Hart may be the fan’s choice, Vorm would be a worthy alternative.

It would be easy to dismiss the Dutchman as Simon Mignolet Mk II but he is so much more than that and deserves to prove he can do a job week in, week out for one of the Premier League’s big boys.

The question is: would Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp take a punt?

Swansea City

Swansea may have Lukasz Fabianski between the sticks but they have conceded far too many goals this season and the return of their former player could be the perfect remedy.

Much will depend on new Swans boss Paul Clement, but if Vorm is free to leave Tottenham he could well return to the club where he made his name in England.
