The Celtic manager is again being linked with the Leicester City manager’s job.
The Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, is said to top Leicester City’s list of potential Claude Puel replacements (The Sun).
But which players (if any) could emerge as January targets, should Rodgers arrive at the King Power Stadium?
HITC Sport takes a look…
Callum McGregor (Celtic)
One of a handful of players whose Celtic careers Rodgers has transformed. The 25-year-old is arguably now the best central midfielder in Scotland and could easily play at a higher level. Leicester have already allowed Vicente Iborra to leave this month, while Andy King and Adrien Silva have been tipped to follow in McGregor’s position.

James Forrest (Celtic)
Another of Rodgers’ Celtic success stories, Forrest has performed so well of late he is said to be interesting Liverpool (also The Sun). Leicester may not be short in the winger’s position, although Harvey Barnes’ recall and the recent links to Jarrod Bowen (The Sun again) suggest the Foxes aren’t entirely happy there either.

Josh Maja (Sunderland)
A rumoured target for Rodgers at Celtic (yep, you’ve guessed it, The Sun), the Northern Irishman could try to take him south of Sunderland if he is to become Leicester boss. The Foxes’ striking options could do with a freshen up (Jamie Vardy remains their go-to guy despite having recently turned 32 years of age) and Maja, who has scored 15 goals in 29 games this season, appears to be destined for the top. The 20-year-old is out of contract in June – although he would cost Leicester (a fellow English side) substantially more than Celtic in compensation.
